Red sauce gnocchi with chilli is a dish that tastes like there is meat because it is filling. This dish is vegetarian and has a lot of flavour. This recipe is quick and most of the ingredients can be found in the fridge.

Quick and tasty red sauce gnocchi with chilli is simple and easy to make. It takes under 25 minutes to make and the whole family will love it.

Ingredients

  • 500g Gnocchi

  • 320g pasta sauce

  • 1 Small red onion

  • 1 Small red capsicum

  • 1 long mild chilli

  • 1 Tablespoon of olive oil

  • 1/2 Teaspoon of black pepper

  • 1 Teaspoon of salt

Directions

  • Cut the capsicum, chilli and red onion.
  • In a medium fry pan, add the olive oil and cook the vegetables for 3 minutes.
  • Add the pasta sauce and simmer for 2 minutes on medium to low heat.
  • Boil water in a medium sauce pan and cook the gnocchi till they float.
  • Drain the gnocchi and add to the pasta sauce and enjoy.

Notes

  • Video above is made for 2 servings but the recipe feeds 4.
  • I did not add chilli to my video but the recipe does call for it. Remove the chilli if you do not like heat.
