Sausages and mashed potato is a comfort food that everyone loves. This dish is paired with a peeled carrot that brings a crunch and freshness to the meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 Medium sausages

  • 2 Large Potatoes

  • 1/2 Red onion

  • 1 Small carrot

  • 2 Teaspoons of butter

  • 1/2 Teaspoon of salt

  • Pinch of black pepper

Directions

  • Wash and cut the potatoes into small cubes so that they will cook faster. In a medium saucepan, add water and the potatoes to medium heat.
  • Slice the red onion and cook in a frypan for 1 minute. Once cooked place aside.
  • Cook the sausages in a frypan on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • While the sausages and potatoes are cooking, peel the carrot lengthwise and set aside.
  • Drain the potatoes, place them back into the saucepan and add the butter, salt and pepper and mash all together.
  • Add the red onion to the mash.
  • Serve with gravy or on its own and enjoy.
