minutesSausages and mashed potato is a comfort food that everyone loves. This dish is paired with a peeled carrot that brings a crunch and freshness to the meal.
Ingredients
4 Medium sausages
2 Large Potatoes
1/2 Red onion
1 Small carrot
2 Teaspoons of butter
1/2 Teaspoon of salt
Pinch of black pepper
Directions
- Wash and cut the potatoes into small cubes so that they will cook faster. In a medium saucepan, add water and the potatoes to medium heat.
- Slice the red onion and cook in a frypan for 1 minute. Once cooked place aside.
- Cook the sausages in a frypan on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
- While the sausages and potatoes are cooking, peel the carrot lengthwise and set aside.
- Drain the potatoes, place them back into the saucepan and add the butter, salt and pepper and mash all together.
- Add the red onion to the mash.
- Serve with gravy or on its own and enjoy.
