Cheese twists are simple but pack a lot of flavour. They are easy to make and are great as snacks after lunch. Take these cheese twists to a party and they will become instant favourites. My recipe contains cheddar and parmesan cheese but you can alternate the cheeses to suit your taste.

This easy puff pastry cheese twists recipe is an amazing snack that you can take to work or gift to friends. It uses ingredients that are found in the fridge. It stores well and can be eaten warm or cold.

Ingredients

  • 1 Puff pastry sheet

  • 1/2 Cup of shredded cheddar

  • 2 Tablespoons of grated of parmesan

  • 2 Tablespoons of butter

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees
  • Using a knife, spread 1 tablespoon of butter on half of the pastry sheet
  • Place half the cheddar and parmesan mix onto the buttered half
  • Fold the pastry in half
  • Butter the half that has been folded and place the remaining cheese on top
  • Cut the pastry into 2 cm wide strips
  • Twist the strips and place onto a baking tray
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown and enjoy

Notes

  • Add your choice of cheese or herbs
